Alumni to Relaunch the Columbia Pacific University Press

Columbia Pacific University Press originally published CPU course materials, CPU Abstracts, a couple of books by CPU’s then president Richard Crews M.D., the quarterly Netnotes Newsletter, and periodic special publications containing creative writing from CPU students, faculty and staff. Alumni will relaunch Columbia Pacific University Press in the next year with a couple of authors. We are currently keeping the names of the authors and their efforts as a surprise.

In 1992 Columbia Pacific University Press published “Everything You Should Know About Musical Instruments but Don’t Have Time to Learn”, by Michael J. Pagliaro. The illustrated book comprises 134 pages. A former college professor of music, Dr. Pagliaro has authored additional books on musical instruments, including “The Flute”, and “The Violin”. His web site does not name his alma maters but informs that he holds a B.S. in music, M.A. in music education, Sc.D. in musical instrument technology and Ph.D. in musical instrument manufacturing. His wife, Dr. Marie M. Pagliaro holds the position of Head of Teacher Education at a New York college. Together with Michael J. Pagliaro, Jr., and Christine Pagliaro Raciti, they operate Ardsley Musical Instrument Services, which is also a publishing house.
